Previously, Brave CF had included fighters from Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, which is one of the best gyms of Asia, according to ONE Championship. The Philippines will be one among the key geographies of interest to recruit upcoming talent.
Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman is the reigning Bantamweight Champion of Brave CF. This stellar achievement will definitely ensure the promotion to look forward to recruiting talent from the Philippines.
With more fighters added to the current roster, Brave CF aims to reach out to the expanding global market. Among the main objectives for the year, the promotion had already announced to host events in additional geographies apart from the existing target markets that had been covered in 2017.
The athlete relations had specified that the diverse skill set alongside quality experience will be looked into during the process. Aside from the Philippines, there had been responses from the United States, Brazil, India, Pakistan, European Union and Middle East.
Brave CF had confirmed that the process will be ongoing throughout the year. On March 2, 2018, the promotion will be Jordan hosting its 10th event titled “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.”
“Mixed martial arts is a constantly evolving sport,” Brave CF Hari Bhagirath said. “Every minute detail about the sport is changing and adapting from time to time.”
“Brave Combat Federation will constantly look forward to support the emerging talent and ensure that they have access to a global platform to showcase their skills,” Bhagirath added. “Our athlete relations team will ensure that the process is rewarding, goal oriented and sustainable in the long run. In this way, we aim to maximize the benefits that an athlete can achieve by nurturing his career.”
The first phase is in progress and the list of athletes who will be signed will be revealed in the coming days. Hosting events in different geographies will also enable the promotion to understand the regional market and identify emerging talent in closer proximity who have the potential to compete in the international level.
